Children's Ministry
The children of First Baptist Church and our surrounding community are one of the primary focuses for the ministries of the church. Throughout the year FBCH seeks many opportunities to share God's love with children. During the Summer, Vacation Bible School, children's camps, and weekly children's activities, trips and fellowships allow children to build relationships and learn more of God's love.
Wednesday evenings during the school year are busy with children's ministries. Children's Choirs and various Mission Organizations meet every Wednesday evening for fun and learning activities.
Upward Basketball is one of the largest outreach ministries of the year. Volunteers work with children October - February each year as children 1st through 6th grades learn basketball skills as well as teamwork and in the process are taught the wonder of God's love for them.
Children's Sunday School classes are also a weekly opportunity for many teachers and parents to share God's love with children. This time allows children to develop many life-long friendships. The children learn how to apply the truth of God's word through mission and ministry activities.
AdventureLand - Worship Experience for Children has become a great opportunity for children to worship Sunday Mornings during the morning worship service. The children join their parents in the sanctuary for the first 15 minutes of the morning worship service and are then led to the Christian Life Center for a worship service designed just for them.
Praying for Students is our annual prayer ministry that begins each August prior to the beginning of school. Members of FBCH commit to pray for each student in our church by name for an entire year. They contact them for encouragement and prayer requests as they let these children know they are being prayed for daily.
